Statement:
There has to be a better use for plastic bags than sending them to the bottom of the ocean! Who knows what will happen to the unseen and mysterious life in the deep if we keep dumping all that rubbish? Maybe they will come up out of the blue and want revenge?! I have become fascinated by the effect heating and burning has on various materials, and have been incorporating my ‘successful experiments’ in my work for some time now. Simple everyday things take on a new and exciting life under the heat gun, and help me achieve the textures I am looking for, ...and it’s so therapeutic! |
